2018: Monhegan Museum: Celebrating 50 Years
As one of the many ways that we marked our 50th anniversary during the summer of 2018, we mounted an exhibition of works from the museum’s permanent collection that detailed the history of Monhegan as a destination for artists. From Aaron Draper Shattuck who visited in 1858, to Don Stone, and dozens in between we celebrated 160 years of artists finding inspiration on Monhegan.
