Nature journaling is a fun and rewarding way to strengthen your observational skills and deepen your understanding of and appreciation for the natural world. Instructor Karen O. Zimmermann, a watercolorist, Maine Master Naturalist, and Registered Maine Guide, will introduce a variety of nature journaling formats, tools, and techniques, and lead participants through exercises to observe, record, and ask questions about the natural environment. The workshop will begin at the Monhegan Museum, then move out into the Wildlands. Materials will be provided, though participants are welcome to bring a journal or sketchbook if they prefer.
